Mixed Media on Stretched Canvas, 30 x 30". This painting incorporates acrylic paints with thin handmade paper applied with soft gel medium. I knew I wanted do so something like this with a paper that was similar to Japanese rice paper to give it the texture of Japanese silk screens or doors. As I progressed on this painting, the colors and movement reminded me of bright colors and acrobatics of Cirque du Soleil. The first one I did was actually pink. I liked it so much that I did another one using permanent light green, cadmium yellow, interference green, iridescent gold, and iridescent bronze.
