Hi Linda, Watercolour is probably the most difficult medium to use, for several reasons, the planning, the inability to correct errors, the colour shift as it dries lighter, just to name a few. So you have not chosen an easy option. Having looked at your gallery, I feel that your work would benefit from more contrast (light and dark) as well as more colour intensity in the foreground. This would give you more aerial perspective and make the foreground come forward and the back ground recede. I hope this helps

Ashness Bridge was painted a few years ago after a visit to the Lake District. I have just viewed your gallery and am very impressed by the variety of subjects you have skilfully painted. Well done.
