burn's cottage

I have a little ceramic model of this cottage. Very realistic.

Nice feel to this, Lilias. However, could I make a couple of suggestions. A white building is a golden opprtunity to make a lot of the sunlight and shadows, so perhaps making the shadows under the eaves a little stronger would give that contrast. Also, perhaps a variety in tone and colour within the greens of the foliage would also add some excitement - the same with the sky. Now you may very well have decided to paint this all in the mid-tone, in which case forget all the above! But I really like the simple, uncluttered look of the painting and I think you are on the right track.
