AILSA CRAIG

AILSA CRAIG

Goodness you have brought back some memories. In my teens my parents hired a rowing boat and attempted to row out to Ailsa Craig not realising how far it was. The tide turned! We were lucky to get back. I always think of this island as a cherry bun.

The red sail actually makes the painting - so the watermark did you a favour in the end! Nice water and waves and I can just see the little boat bobbing along in the choppy sea. Good sense of distance.
