Like this; did you stain the paper before you painted the leaves - there seems to be a rosy glow, but that may be reflected from the leaves themselves: I need new glasses and am having to peer a bit! You have a very effective series of botanical paintings, in the freer sense of the term, and of course have chosen the most merciless medium to paint them in.

thank you robert i'm glad you like this. i used bockingford tinted paper as i thought white might be too garish, i think it worked. as to the medium i have tried acrylic & oil but i am far more comfortable & confident with watercolour . thanks again, regards lilias
