Thanks so much for the lovely comments. I did not know about Primrose Day but read up a little about it today. We have lovely bunches all around the house, very nice subject to paint.

I simply loved the textures within the leaves and the delicate petals of these primroses. They just looked so pretty among the weeds and grasses. I picked a few leaves to examine the patterns closer and experimented with applying some paint to them and pressing them onto my watercolour paper. I quite liked how the textured result juxtaposed against the soft lemon yellow of the petals.
