Illustrations etc, for short story. by Lewis Cooper

A reminder. I’ve been illustrating a book...a short horror story. My son works at a Respite Centre for people with life-changing injuries or illnesses. He likes to find interesting things for them to do. One of the clients there has written this story, with my son’s help. They’ve talked about getting it printed in some way. My son asked if I’d be interested in illustrating it. The author doesn’t know I’m doing it. We hope it will be a surprise of the right sort. It’s finished. My son liked the idea of having an appendix (or whatever they call it) at the back of the book. It would have jokey book reviews, and a mock-up newspaper report about the family in the story. So I’ve done that...thought you might be interested. When the author gets his copy of the book, I’ll show the whole thing on the forum. It’s not being PUBLISHED, just printed in photobook format.

What a wonderful surprise your creations will be for the author. I bet he’ll be over the moon

Excellent work Lew , I can imagine the excitement when the author see his book set out with yiur superb artwork.

This proves what we have always suspected, your wit is as sharp as your drawings. Thank you for another morning smile.

It’s look good, always interesting Lewis.

Congrats to you and your son, so well done and the author is going to be thrilled.

Fantastic work Lewis. It’s incredible what can be achieved with the encouragement and cooperation of a few people. It should be published, as it would give many people enormous pleasure. Congratulations on such a wonderful endeavour. It will be a tremendous tonic for the author.

A grand project Lew, or are you actually Mr Munge!?

Putting your skills and knowledge to help someone else is brilliant. Your artwork as always outstanding.

Thanks for your comments. Always welcome and valued. Yes Tessa, at last it can be revealed, old Sid is my alto ego. He’s known widely as ‘Grumpyman’ a more realistic version of Superman.

What a wonderful thing too do Lewis. And to share your gift in this way.

A wonderful project Lewis. Well done.

I assembled the mock newspaper report in photoshop...drawings plus text. As I've already shown some drawings for this book, I thought you might be interested, even though it's mostly text.
