Great work as usual Lewis. Santa looks quite the jolly mischief maker and the dog puts me in mind of the Jack Russell in the film 'the mask'. What a great way to remove the boredom of waiting rooms.

A brilliant use of time, Lewis! Love the Santa...a really naughty look!

Those eyes Lewis - they make me very wary😳. That's a very productive way to pass the time...I usually close my eyes and "paint" - yes, really.

Great characters Lewis.

Super stuff Lewis. Unfortunately the periods we have to wait can be incredibly lengthy so great use of time. Particularly love Mr Vascular.

Great doodling Lew. Doggie looks very expectant about something...

Thanks to all for your welcome comments. You're right Carole, we waited and hour and a half past our appointed time, then we had our five minutes with the doctor. Except, of course, the NHS don't make 'appointments' as such, they just give you a time to be there. We were in the vascular ward, I've taken to noting where we were on the sketches...like 'X-ray' and 'MRI' etc, etc. So it's not 'Mr' Vascular.

Great sketches - it is always horrible hanging around in hospital waiting rooms. Hope the news was good at the end.

Great way to pass the time, Lewis, love the dog!

A great use of your time spent in waiting rooms Lewis. I particularly like your Santa, he looks a little naughty but nice :) In answer to your question on my Xmas card, yes, I used a little salt hoping to make it look either like a little snow, a bit of frost or stars twinkling in the sky. You choose :)

What great drawings Lewis, I spent seven hours in the assessment unit in our hospital yesterday as our gp sent my hubby there as he thought his heart was dodgy! Thankfully all is OK. I should have done something like this too.

Thanks very much to everyone who've commented, it's always encouraging...especially when all I have to show most of the time is sketches. Margaret, your seven hours sounds pretty grim, I'm so glad you had the right result. I suppose waiting is inevitable, but it's always a grind. Thirty minutes to get there and park, ninety minutes waiting, five minutes with the doctor, and another 30 minutes to get home. We've all done it. Sorry...I must cheer up.

You certainly made the most of your time - great.

Super doodles Lewis.

Such skilled drawings Lewis. Sounds like you had a bad day but at least you relieved the boredom and luckily took the sketch books with you. I shall try and remember to do that if I have an NHS appointment. Or just turn up late! Joking apart, I do hope you're ok.

Brilliant doodles Lew. Love the dog's face.

Back in waiting rooms again. I've taken to doodles to pass the time. Here's a few.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
