A happy piece of nonsense Lew .

Yet again, amazing drawing skills Lewis. Love it!

High class doodling Lewis, as you say fun and enjoyment is an important element of good work. There is so much in this I have spent ages looking at the various elements a wonderful piece of nonsense.

Wow, I love it. You are like a great musician who can ad lib. I think this is some of your best work.

Looks great fun, with excellent drawing skills.

It's an amazing work Lewis. Your patience staggers me as well as your skill.

Barry has said it all. Another great source of amusement and enjoyment. Well done Lewis.

You have such brilliant imagination, Lewis, your mind must be working overtime !!!

What an imagination you have Lewis, excellent.

Your bit of nonsense is fabulous Lewis, what great characters!

What more can I add? I agree with you all, and yes, it's so important to have fun...Your work is such fun to look at, Lewis, so much to see and tremendously good drawing skills. Every one a winner in this piece as always.

David compares you to a 'great musician who can ad-lib,' I think this is a wonderful compliment and describes your 'doodling' perfectly Lewis. Fabulous work and as always a treat to view.

Thank you all very much for your kind and generous feedback. It's odd, I wasn't going to post this, I often have doubts about my work, which seems to be part of this game of painting, but you are always ready to respond positively to my attempts to fill blank sheets of paper. So thanks again.

Amazing Lewis, the more I look the more I see.

your art sounds like great fun most people struggle for subjects but you seem to find them easily , lovel LEWIS

I decided to do some colour doodling. I drew and painted the arty fella at bottom middle, and then thought 'what next?' So I drew what he was looking at...the painting of a woman's face in an odd frame. From then on it was more of the same...what shall I put in next? So, not really a painting as such, it lacks all discipline and structure...what it was, was a fun thing to do...which is the only reason to paint anything. So... a piece of nonsense. 16 x 12 inches. Watercolour and a bit of pen.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
