You always put a lot into whatever you do Lewis. I like the black line then the slight halo effect round the figure.

Love the colours, take it the lady was cut and pasted in.....

Your work is always great - like both of them, Lewis

have you tried an upright ?

I'm don't know what you mean by an 'upright', Pat.

Lewis, I suppose I should have asked have you tried it in portrait mode instead of saying have you tried an upright. At present it´s in landscape mode.

Pat, I wondered if you meant that...never heard portrait mode described that way. I haven't tried it in portrait mode, but, as you'll know, the beauty of digital is that I could. The girl is sitting already cut out on her own layer in photoshop. At some point I may well fiddle about with it again...it makes a change.

I thought this might be of interest. When I did my previous painting of Deco-girl, I was uncertain about the background...I was looking for a Deco design element. So I photographed the girl (before I added the background). This enabled me to try a different background in photoshop. The square banner behind the girl contains drawings I'd made some time ago, the Digital additions are very basic, involving the background.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
