Lovely acrylic scene Lesley you have captured super translucency in the nearest water that is calm on the beach waiting for those ripples, good figurework on your grandson as well, lovely summery painting

This was painted from a photo of my grandson on Dawlish Warren beach in Devon in August 2013. I loved the way he was poised waiting for the waves, arms up ready to jump! By the time the waves reached him they had turned into a ripple but I still loved his anticipation of a huge wave reaching him! Acrylics on a canvas board. I might try to paint it in watercolours too.
