I can see the difference in textures which I expect is down to the slight change in technique. It gives a more impressionistic feel to the painting which I really like - a super piece of work, Lesley.

Oil sketch on canvas, 20 x 20 cms A sketchy reworking of a favourite boat. I'm enjoying re-visiting some of my old favourite boats and experimenting with different techniques. I did most of this with one large flat brush and added finer details at the end.
