I like the stylised approach here Len. The whole place looks as is it were made of sugar. I hope that is how you felt about the subject. Lovely

Thank you for your comment. I wanted it to be stialised however and the more I got into the painting the more I enjoyed the shapes and textures of the buildings. Having been there many years ago I remember that they are built normally from tufa or, streight into the face of the volcano which is made of compressed ash or something and very soft. I also wanted to avoid the traditional blue sky and blue domed church.
