Great Baddow 2 by Leisure Painter

Colin Steed - Artist & tutor. You have captured this village scene very well. The warm colours on the buildings contrast well agianst the cool shadows on the tree, wall and road although the foreground shadow needs to conect to something. If the shadow comes from a tree out if picture then it should run down the wall and across the path. The figures and distant car make the village look lived in. Well done Jackie you have given light and life to a rather dull photo.

Thank you Colin for your helpful comments. Yes, I could see how the shadow was unconnected when I saw it on the computer...looks like a UFO was hovering over the village maybe! I don't know why I find shadows so daunting...I wavered over the painting with my brush for ages before 'daring' to add them!
