Roger Blackwell sent in his version of the Spanish Finca saying: 'I used heavy grade cartridge paper 15" x 10" to produce my picture using a fine line Pitt Artist pen in black. I decided to keep my painting fairly detailed rather than loose. I also intended to keep the watercolour delicate and give more emphasis to the foreground, keeping the background trees without line as suggested'.
