Haven't seen the LP exercise, but this is a good stab at a difficult subject - difficult because that foreground boat has to take a huge amount of the painting's weight, and it only needs to be a little off for it to ruin the whole thing. I like the delicate yet firm touch on your masts, the green of the water near the harbour wall, and the way both boats sit in the water. I'm not familiar with these boats - are those windows right? The one to the right sits lower than the one on the left of the front elevation of the forecastle. It's a detail, but it just makes me wonder. Mind you, I do have an obsessively logical mind!

Hi Robert, thanks for looking, and commenting, I agree the windows are a bit off, bit of sloppy work there I'm afraid, but I enjoyed the excercise.
