Colin Steed-Artist & tutor. You have used my advice to perfection Elaine. You have thought through the composition, tone and colour's to use. This is an example of how strong colours effect the scene. You do have some blue grey's in the distance but also a lot of rich red's and green's but because your foreground is so viberant it works. I always say 'It's a question of balance' if you use some primary colour in the distance then you must use really strong rich mixes in the foreground. Without that you have know depth. Thank's for that Elaine that helps me to explain my colour theory.

Pathway.... strong Burnt Umber & Alizarin Crimson Trees...... Same greens with a spiky brush , Trunk Burnt Umber & Ultra Marine Blue painted after everything was dry Dry Brush work .... to enhance the layers and give some texture. Thank for the opportunity and the delightful picture composition.'
