Carol Jones says: 'I started my painting, as suggested by photo copying the penguins and cutting them out. I decided just to use the two in my painting and hope I have introduced a little humour via the title. I started with a graded wash of cadmium yellow and cobalt blue with a bit of potters pink. I let that dry and put in the drawing. I painted the stones in the water then the reflections. For the penguins I used cobalt blue and burnt umber and raw sienna for the beaks and the penguins breast. I mixed ultra marine with a touch of burnt umber for the shadow under the penguins. I enjoyed painting this project.
