I thought that the vivid contrast of the flower petals would be suitable for this medium. Van Gogh black water colour paper (360g/m2) and Pentel oil pastels were used for this painting. I found that finger blending and the use of linseed oil to smooth out the texture and applying multiple layers of colours useful'
