Sunlit Doorway by Leisure Painter
Martha Downs sent in her version of Judith's painting project saying: 'I started the painting with wet in wet and when that was dry I put in the detail. I am not sure if I got the colours right but used what I had – alizarin for the roses And cadmium red for the geraneums. I also used a mixture of dark and light greens using Cadmium yellow , Indian yellow, ultramarine and cobalt blue. The paper is bockingford not. I did not have all the suggested colours so I had to use what I had in my box. Yesterday, as I had begun to fiddle I thought I would call it finished as otherwise I could ruin it. Thanks to Judith Milne for the lovely project. Hope you like it and any comments would be welcome.'
