Great painting evoking fond memories of stacking the 45's and letting them play. Mine was'nt a da settle but a decca/his masters voice with a small radio dial on the front, happy days.

Oil on canvas 18.5 x 14.5cm. My husband runs a record shop so when it came to painting a picture of something for the letter R it was a no brainer. This is an oil painting of our trusty dansette record player. It has a great sound, it's a lovely design and you can carry it around too. Anyone else have one of these?

I set myself a challenge to paint a small picture for each letter of the alphabet. Not every painting I've done since then has been part of this 'alphabet' but I enjoy coming back to this series in between other projects. I'd love to know what you think of my work or if you have a favourite.
