Oil on canvas 20 x 20cm. I was inspired to paint this house martin last June. These birds nest on my house every summer so when they return each year it is a lovely reminder that summer is on its way. When they swoop around in the sunshine catching insects they look so full of joy. I set myself a challenge to paint a small picture for each letter of the alphabet. Not every painting I've done since then has been part of this 'alphabet' but I enjoy coming back to this series in between other projects. I'd love to know what you think of my work or if you have a favourite.
