« One,Two,Three -Out Goes He »– Inspired by Agatha Christie. This piece is deeply inspired by my beloved Agatha Christie, who masterfully incorporated one of the oldest nursery rhymes (dating back to around 1850) into her work. While these rhymes were originally designed to teach children counting and writing, in the context of this painting, they represent a different kind of "accounting." This artwork is my personal "settlement" with a fraudster—a self-proclaimed "art agent" who planned to steal my work. His intent was to use my creations as mere "backgrounds" to promote alcohol and an aggressive lifestyle based on dominance—values I have never stood for and never will.In tandem with this painting, I have written my own version of the classic rhyme, which mirrors the artwork by showing how this imposter was unmasked and "eliminated" across every digital platform: Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram. Please excuse the watermarks. I’ve implemented them to prevent a fraudster from hiding my signature with digital overlays.

Simply 👏👌 And also a Christie fan

That’s great art work Lea.

Superb on every level

Intriguing piece and story Lea. Well done on both counts

Stunning artwork and rhyme Lea, love both!

Thank you all very much for your kind words. This piece is a bit of a small 'manifesto' for me; it explores the idea that even 'where our eyes cannot reach,' someone still 'draws our shadow.' To my fellow artists: please protect your creative work. It is priceless and far more valuable than any amount of 'likes.' You are all unique and one of a kind ! To be honest—and I don't mean to sound overly dramatic—I realize this work isn't as refined as I’d like. It was only a few hours of work, and the colors are inconsistent in places and ... Martin, let’s shake hands as fellow fans of Agatha Christie ( " Elephants Can Remember " ?) Marjorie and Heather, thank you as always for your support. Martin and Carole, I appreciate you taking the time to analyze the work in its full context. Russell, thank you for always supporting my creative journey.

Interesting but baffling. I see three mushrooms in a celophane package.

Thank you for the comment. As David Lynch said: "The owls are not what they seem" Sometimes what looks "baffling" is just the surface of a much deeper story.

Super work. Love all your paintings

"One, Two, Three – Out Goes He" One, two, buckle my shoe, Facebook knows his lies are true. Three, four, shut the door, On Pinterest he’ll pin no more. Five, six, his profile sticks, But LinkedIn saw his stolen tricks. Seven, eight, it’s far too late, On TikTok he has met his fate. Nine, ten, he’s blocked again, On Instagram – the thief of men! Eleven, twelve, out goes he, The Art Thief for the world to see !
