This has great impact due to your strong colours and also, as you mention, the crisp outlines. However, there is also a nice softness where it is needed and the combination of hard and soft edges makes an interesting painting.

I wanted nice clean, crisp edges against a soft background and I am quite pleased with the result. I used a limited palette and strong values. It's a watercolour 12 by 20ins approx. Bockingford paper and Van Goch colours
