Many thanks for your kind comments. I was experimenting using pastels on velour. Hated the soft surface at first and scribbled all over it - then had second thoughts and finished it... Love gently stroking colour onto the velvety surface now - it's totally different to other pastel grounds.

Loved this. Colour and sensitivity produces a super portrait.
