Good job and good practice since next time you will know to draw in very lightly with a hard pencil. Those dark shades are still good though, it gives contrast against the pale background.

You have painted this so well Lesley, just remember to use very light pencil lines when you are drawing especially under pale colours like the yellow. We all learn by our mistakes and that is good. Well done on the vase too, you have a nice shine where the light has caught the side.

And the tulip heads are lovely Lesley.

You’ve done a truly great job Lesley, the tones on the tulips are lovely and your vase is spot on! I like to see the pencil lines under watercolour, it’s like seeing the skeleton under the muscle....lol

Thankyou so much. I m not sure about pencil marks? I usually sketch out in thin watercolours. So don't know what I was thinking. I guess it's not always good to follow instructions to the T. Instead of putting my own knowledge to it. But is all good practice.😀

Watercolour demo in leisure painters may mag. Lovely demonstration and easy to follow, thankyou Julie for the opportunity. I enjoyed this one, but found my pencil lines showed through the yellow, so had to go over them with a darker shade . I good lesson learned. Although Julie did state this. I have taken note.
