I like it now with the darker colour. Lovely that you got helpful advice from Thalia, she's pretty expert at this type of scene.

Thankyou Sandra, Thalia, is brilliant at boat scenes, she used to live in Padstow so knows this scene well, it's so nice to get advice from her, and other on here, I really do sometimes need that.. strange how watercolours have caused me problems..😀

Certainly a stronger painting now lesley- very good. I’m heading that way with my art group in September for a week of painting and eating! Not sure which we do more of but it’s great fun in a beautiful area.

This is so improved now Lesley and it looks super.

Thankyou Tessa, I m hoping to be there in late September, can't wait as usual.....it would be nice to meet up if it's the same time and area ..

Thankyou Margaret, good advice not gone to waste......again .. so much I like this site.☺️

Haven’t seen the original yet Lesley but I like this...lovely strong colours and confidently painted.

Thankyou Fiona, it was very pale the boats mainly white.....you should be able to find the first attempt in my gallery headed Cornwall 1, think it's in page 2 if my gallery...☺️

That looks really impressive now, Lesley! Much more exciting! Afraid I didn't live in Padstow itself, but a few miles away, near Bodmin, hence I'm a little bit Bodmin...if you follow Doc Martin series! Lol!

Thankyou Thalia, bodmins not far away from Padstow...lol. I m sure you know the scene well... I do follow Doc Martin. Better still we leave our tourer near Boscastle, so get down there at least 3 to four times a year... I just love the whole coast line .... Do most of my sketches painting down there.....i am.so lucky..... I've just posted another one.
