This is a portrait of my grandmother in her late teens. To me, it is an image of pure joy of life. I used a limited palette that contains yellow as a representation of the wonderful energy end vitality. On top of the painting, I added a silver leaf patch that reflects light and attracts the viewer and makes him look at the painting over and over again. The silver also keeps changing in time, representing the changes in life.
