Quick pastel study of a setting sun over Ireland's north coast. My previous charcoal on aluminum (Undertow) was inspired by the same set of reference photographs but I was interested in exploring how colour would change the mood of the piece. In Undertow the ocean is the hero whereas in this piece it's the sun sinking towards the horizon line.
