That's so funny..... All these naked men getting het up.

LOL!!!! It was an excellent turn out Mick....unfortunately not all were able to rise to the challenge and there were disappointments on both sides. Of course I can't speak for the North Yorkshire contingent but George is certainly the winner. Excellent Mick.

Thanks Syvia and Fiona. Your selection process is daunting Fiona. My self confidence has just melted away accordingly.

Aww poor guys they look deflated Michael!

What a come down for the unsuccessful. Great darwing though Michael

Thanks Derek. My ego would have been shattered. I wish I was a natural draughtsman like you because I'm really just average. I have to be honest and say that I have been trying out a little assistance with outlines lately in the form of some backlight. It has improved my spacial default and it is in fact making me understand a little more how to be a better draughtsman. Apparently the great masters and the contemporary masters use/d reflection, projection etc. I've looked closely at the history and ethics of it and was pleased to find that it is acceptable. If Hockney can do it so can I. I'm not wholly dependant on it though, yet. It's a bit like male models, if you've got it that's fine, if you haven't, look for an alternative.

Crikey, all those sad looking men!

Rejection equals sadness Louise.

I'm definitely coming to your art class Mick. Great poses.

I'm really pleased about that Gudrun. In truth, George does exist at our Tuesday art group, I saw him this morning, showed him the images and he was very amused. George is actually a pensioner. It just goes to show that it's worth looking after our bodies. Unfortunately I abused mine badly when I was a young man and now I'm paying the price for it.

A great painting of a group of naked men! I love the story znd it is very effective!

Watercolour. Word was out the celebrity artists were visiting the life drawing class from Galloway and North Yorkshire. Dozens of male model volunteers were called for audition but most were deemed unsuitable. Only George was chosen. The class was a great success.
