Memory of illness

Comments

Missed your little added comments Michael but I take it that this may be an unpleasant memory of yours. It’s cathartic to release the inner stress of less pleasant events in our lives. Your painting really shouts out the pain within and is beautifully expressive. Hope you and yours are safe and well.

I love all of your work Michael and never get tired of looking at it and your humour is always uplifting. I love this portrait. You have portrayed something deep in those eyes and I really like the colours and the marks.

Thanks for your kind and encouraging words Carole and Diane. I’m fine thank you. The dread of illness returning, or continuing never leaves us. Good health friends.

Totally agree with all the comments here, these are sentiments near to all our hearts especially during this difficult time of the pandemic. A really strong portrait, Michael

I see a very troubled expression there Michael. A well executed portrait x

Hats off to you again Michael. Carole has said it all and this face is so expressive.

A very striking and thoughtful portrait Michael. I wish you well in these tough times. x

A dark and fretful time Michael. A time of fear and frustration because it’s all out of your control....but you made it! Your strength of character, dare I say stubbornness, and most importantly, your beautiful grandchildren brought you back in to the light. A strong and touching portrait which reflects in the style and brushwork....especially the strokes of green paint, they look as if they were done with determination and a touch of anger, in mind. X

I agree with all the comments Michael, great expressive portrait

Hope you stay well and continue to stimulate are imaginations.

Thanks for your kindness and encouragement Tessa, Carole, Heather, Fiona, Romila and Linda. They make you young Fiona.
