Yes a great reminder of your achievement Michael. I remember how I felt when I was promoted to ward sister on an acute medical ward I was over the moon;)

Thanks Carole and belated congratulations. What a great job you did. I wouldn't be here now if it hadn't been for the NHS and staff. Thank you. With this I'm looking at deviating a little from expressing my art. It can get a little repetitive with the girlfriends so I thought I'd try this tac. Then I thought, I'm going to have to do one on the momentous occasion of our wedding. Plenty to produce with this deviation.

Great job on your painting and great job as in the c I d , I'm now the police's biggest fan for sure .

Great news reaching the peak Michael

Thanks Dennis. It was the peak for me at that time. Freedom from uniform.

Brilliantly smashing, great capture of the moment andexpression

Great expression Mick and congratulations on your many achievements! My momentous occasion is waking up in the morning! lol I do feel rather pleased with myself if I can get any of the wee birds I help back out in the wild and fending for themselves.

Free & expressive, great marks, Michael

Brilliant. Anyway, you got me to get my pastel pencils out. That is also a momentous occasion.

Thanks Fiona, Willie and Gudrun. Each moment of your compassion is momentous Fiona.

Brill painting Michael, I remember that feeling when getting promotion - seems so long ago now, I don't know how I had time to go to work as since I'm retired the time just goes so fast!

Thanks Margaret. You feel special when you get a promotion. I got a few in the police force. They used to emphasise in the police force that transfer to CID wasn't a promotion. It wasn't of course but it felt like one. Time flies like you say. I hope you are having a great retirement.

Excellent piece, Michael. It's really lively and animated. Really nicely done!

Pastel sketch after Doust. 1973 and the moment that the Detective Chief Superintendent told me that my application to be transferred to the CID had been accepted.
