Great accuracy and it is only after a while of viewing the painting that you realise that it is predominately done in blue, apart from that wonderful splash of flame colour in the background. Very striking.

With the commemoration of World War 1 imminent I wanted to capture the essence of the biggest battleship clash in history. Viewed from the flagship HMS Iron Duke the 4 Battle squadron opens fire. Late afternoon May 31 1916.
