And it's a good attempt. Not easy, is it.....? Are you using traditional Chinese ink, ink stone and brushes? I use the ink and the stone, but have used other brushes with them, and feel the need to use the real thing in future. It's getting the tones right without having to come back and re-work them that I found most difficult. You seem to have mastered that.

i used proper chinese brushes but used normal ink its not easy at all would love to try it again

Kelly - you and I obviously need to share resources: you've got the right brushes, I've got the right ink.... Yes, I'd like to try again with this method and these materials too; mine wasn't really worth posting, unlike yours.

Hope you are holding your brush correctly !!!!!!!!!!!. I attempted Chinese Brush painting years ago with a Chinese teacher. We used bottled Chinese ink with different dilutions in a six ringed China palette. . I found the holding of the brush difficult. I got rapped on the knuckles frequently. This is a lovely attempt.

i agree sylvia holding it is whole different ball game and very difficult
