Great from your imagination, Katy. I use old mugs. I don't use pastel. You mentioned you might add some paint tubes, I didn't think you could do that over dark colours...you learn something every day.

Thanks Denise, Carole, Mia, Carole and Lewis for looking in and commenting. I really enjoyed the challenge of imagining how the shadows should fall. Lewis, definitely light over dark with pastels, this started off on dark paper. Pastel is very forgiving!

Soft pastel on paper 14”x11” from imagination (strictly jam jars in my studio). Working on the light direction which fascinates me. Might add some paint tubes for extra colour if the mood takes me.
