This painting is 48" x 24" and uses muslin stuck onto exterior plywood with good old PVA glue and a couple of coats of black gesso on top. (It proved difficult to photograph as some detail was lost when I tried to squeeze it all in!) It was originally part of my Fine Art project at university and was meant to show a figure in despair, (so the 'drowning' is a metaphor). Alas, I talked myself out of submitting it and painted over it :o(
