Hi Karyl. There is nothing wrong with the application of your technique, it's the composition and layout that is wrong. I am reading a book at the moment that you may be intrested in, called "Mastering Composition" by Ian Roberts. Certainly opened my eyes, I know consciously think about the layout before anything else and I have been painting for 25 years. Trouble was that's all I did, just paint, I never looked at other people's work or expanded my knowledge. I proberbly did do a lot of the wright things, but it was more good luck that judgment. My motto know is certainly look and learn, as well as paint. Love your work. Regard Peter
