Fabulous! Please tell me how pastel works on velour as I've never tried it - I usually use sand paper

Thanks for the comment Jean. I have only been using Pastel & Pastel pencils since last Febuary so I have really only used Ingres paper & The Velour since then. I find the Velour paper Ideal to build up layer on layer & still be able to get the fine pencil details in at the end. Only downside is that you cannot rub out like you can on Pastel paper. Have a go and let me know how you get on. You can see a large selection of this Years work on my Website.

Great work Karen. Your patience and attention to detail in the fur of your cats certainly pays off. I too have never tried Velour. I tend to work with Art Spectrum (Colourfix) and soft pastels. The Colourfix card has a fine tooth and allows multiple layers/corrections and fine detail.
