Thank you so much everyone, that’s very kind. I tried to paint my photo of the scene at the time but didn’t really know where to start painting this kind of light, I guess something clicked this month.

I’ve had this scene on the back burner since my last visit to Dedham in September, where I was captivated by the early mornings on Dedham Vale. At last getting the luxury of a bit of experimental painting time here it is, darker than my usual paintings but it was the crack of Dawn!
