Beautifully done, I can almost test the sulphur in the air .

So much to like about this, the sense of place and smell is SO good!

Love to see power stations on horizon with the steam turning into clouds. I can see Ratcliffe power station from Derbyshire some days. Love this scene, great drawing.

Good work, John. A scene of monetary wealth for the few and squalid deprivation for the masses.

Ever since I did the drawing of the steam locomotives I've been itching to do something else involving steam/smoke. I came across an urban landscape that ticked my boxes ... and tickled my fancy. It's a dark scene of the smoke and smog prevalent in our industrial towns in the mid-twentieth century. It isn't the sort of 'art' that people would want to hang on their wall, but technically the challenge was just what I'd hoped it would be. I really enjoyed it
