Thanks everyone, I appreciate all your lovely, kind comments. The moon was originally painted yellow, as it was in the photograph but it was too prominent. I like this moon because although just a slice is lit, it’s still round and reminds me of looking for the edge of the moon when I was little. Also, your eye is drawn to the owl more.
