Welsh Poppies are fabulous little flowers that bloom happily in my garden all year long. They self seed in the most unexpected places and I spotted this one growing through the bushes in a sadly neglected of my garden. I just had to dash in to fetch my watercolours and this is the result. I tried to keep the painting a loose as possible, but still capture the delicate detail of the petals. It has spurred me on to paint in my garden more often, so watch this space!
