“Valletta Wildcat” is a tribute to the untamed elegance and quiet intensity of feline presence. Through the medium of colour pencil, I explore the interplay of texture, light, and gaze—drawing the viewer into a moment of silent communion with this elusive creature. The wildcat’s piercing eyes and layered fur are rendered with deliberate precision. My recent solo show at Garstang Arts Centre celebrates the expressive depth of colour pencil as a fine art medium, and its power to capture both realism and soul.
