Love the technique you have used, a lovely painting

Nice painting Judith, lovely texture in the foreground.

A lovely painting, and plenty to catch the eye. Is the writing in French? My eyesight not as good as it used to be.

Washes are fine and appropriate but during mist it is hard to see the horizon line.

This was one of my first explorations of watercolour ground to create texture in my work; I used it to make the tree trunks look more gnarled. I also added text to describe the atmosphere of an early morning and a few flecks of gold paint..
