Joseph, I have been looking at your latest watercolours and they all are extremely good! This one, somehow, is my favourite because it has got everything that I like in a good watercolour painting, loose enough to be free, accurate enough to see what it is, strong colours, light and shadow in harmony. Great work!!

I agree with Satu, this is really good, I think the background works very well, pushed back by the rich colours of the foreground buildings.

I think this one has good balance between the vibrant colours of the mid and foreground against the grey muted colours of the more distant buildings. As always, your shadows are bold and descriptive.

Superb watercolour Joseph. Beautifully balanced with the light and dark shapes. I don't think the background over complicates the painting as it recedes nicely into the background. I admire your use of the very dark colours as this is so difficult to do.

I agree with the others, I think that you have handled the Light and Dark colours perfectly, a wonderful painting.

Not over complicated for me, it's a super painting, full of life.

I agree with all the comments above. best of the bunch?

Still feel that I am over complicating this - especially in the backgrounds.
