I always double-take on paintings with cars in them. They're such a ubiquitous symbol of our times, but we so often shy away from depicting them. Here it not only grabs the eye, but chauffeurs us into the work. Brilliant and edgy.

Thanks Kim. Yeah cars are something we see all the time so it is a bit risky to paint something that is considered maybe a bit banal but like you said it is a bit edgy - and I like edgy :-)

Hi Joseph, reading your question about galleries. There is a small gallery in Stalybridge, The People's Gallery, which is run by artists as sort of a coop operative. they have a website if you are interested. Your work definitely deserves an audience.

I have often been told that I paint cars well, but on this one I think you really deserve some applause. Great light and atmosphere, just love it.
