I find pencil lines very inhibiting. It's too tempting for me to follow the lines and loose the spontaneity. I do sometimes have to indicate any vertical lines though as mine tend to lean badly unless I use a set square! This one of yours is super. Boldly painted and a joy to look at.

This definitely has a very different feel to the more detailed one. The light is sharper and the shapes of the buildings clearer. Each has it's merits and I just couldn't choose between them as both are superb.
