Gosh - how much you have packed into this 'small sketch'! I love it.

I really like this one joseph.. I think its got a lovely loose and slightly abstract feel to it. This is a cracker well done Joseph.

I like the dramatic effect with the colours and the tones. Very well balanced Joseph.

Just love this one Joseph. Fascinating how these quick sketches can turn out so well. I don't know about you, but I find paintings like this (should I manage to produce one as good..lol) impossible to replicate large scale.

Thank you all for your kind comments. It's not often I really like one of my paintings but this one I do for some reason (might frame and put it on my room wall). Yes Louise it is virtually impossible to replicate these kinds of paintings (and to a larger scale). They seem to just happen in the moment - not as happy accidents (as some painters say) because I knew what I was doing. It's a very interesting almost metaphysical subject that keeps me hooked to water colours -its the mystery of not knowing whats going to come out of the hat (most of them with me are a lot of rubbish - but every now and then a little jewel comes out - I can't work it out though lol)

The reason I love watercolour as well!
