Julie, I am so impressed! I love the composition of just a small section, the ornamental figure, trellis and clematis are beautifully painted. It's delightful.

I too am impressed, lovely painting Julie

I really like this. It's intriguing and it makes you wonder what is around - makes you think, which is good.

Your statue has lovely stonework texture with lichen Julie. A lovely painting.

I agree with all that's been said Julie, lovely composition and very well painted.

This makes a great composition. Lovely painting.

Super gallery Julie ! I do admire your work

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. I am really enjoying painting flowers and garden related themes, and using the palette knife has freed me up and I am producing work that is a bit different to my usual style. I dare say I will resort to more detailed work in the autumn when my the art group starts up again. In the meantime I am having a great time wielding the knife!!

I am struggling to choose which painting to comment on as all your paintings are so lovely. This is a very balanced composition with great texture.

Fantastic ! I enjoyed all your paintings. Love flowers, trees and anything to do with the nature. Colours are so real and you make them come alive !

It is painted in Artisan oils on Fabriano Tela oil paper. The paper is a recent acquisition and I really like it - it is quite heavy and glued on all four sides which keeps it flat whilst painting.
