Love your knife work Julie, a lovely painting

Beautiful Julie! Your garden must be a riot or colour and I love the lose style you are achieving using a painting knife. What size are the paintings?

I wish I had a garden like that Julie, it looks wonderful! Well done with the knife, it's such good fun when you get the hang of it.

Fantastic Julie, I don't know about you but I'm quite enjoying the freedom of using knives. You have lovely marks in your paintings, very expressive. Look forward to seeing your next one.

Superb work Julie ,I really must have a go with a knife, justa case of getting up the courage... : )

Thank you to everyone for your kind comments. All the knife paintings measure 16 x 12 inches. William I do hope you will try using a palette knife. It took me ages to pluck up the courage and I am so glad I did.

I love the colours and texture. Inspirational use of a knife too !

This is a really lovely portfolio Julie of which I'd say this is my favourite. Thanks for your kind words on my work.

Another painting of poppies from a photograph taken in my garden last week. The orange coloured wallflowers have been spectacular but the perfume is redolent of pussy cats! Artisan oil on oil paper - painted with a knife. The reproduction is a bit bluer than the painting.
